Kristen and TJ- wedding ceremony

I’m sure most of us would agree that the actual wedding ceremony is the most important part of the wedding day.  Take away the flowers, the pretty dress and even the rings, and you would still have 2 people that love each other starting their lives together.  Normally, however, I would NEVER do a whole post on the ceremony alone.  Due to strict church rules here in Alabama, there just isn’t often enough variety in the types of shots I’m able to get during a ceremony.  I always read about weddings in California, Colorado, etc where photographers get to go wherever they please during the ceremony and they get the most awesome images of this extremely special service. I’m a little jealous.

Kristen and TJ’s wedding was different!  They let me have the run of the place during their ceremony.  Since I had their trust and it was at his mom’s lake house, no one could tell me not to!  And I think these images show why that is such a great thing…

Look how happy that groom is!  I love that I got to capture that.  They had a couple of people read scripture during the ceremony… this is the view looking away from the “altar.”  The families are all seated to the right (outside the frame) and everyone else stood all around.  Since TJ and Kristen also bring little Adelyn into the family, they had a family blessing during the service.  I hope you’re breathless with anticipation of the reception!  You’ll get to see it soon.
